Meet your Wine Director, DJ Kearney.
DJ Kearney is a well-respected wine expert, writer, seasoned judge, and educator; she has trained more than a thousand sommeliers throughout North America for the International Sommelier Guild (ISG). DJ’s wine credentials include the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma and the ISG Sommelier Diploma; she is also is in the Master of Wine program as an exam-ready candidate. DJ has been the drink editor for Vancouver Magazine and Wine Director for the e-commerce platform NewDistrict.ca. She’s also a classically trained chef!
Each session explores a topic or region via six to eight wines paired with small bites specifically chosen and crafted by our culinary team. In addition to a tutored tasting of the wines, DJ will spotlight specific regions and cover topics such as how to taste, pairing bold wines to food, and how and when to decant.
Are you crazy for Brunello, Barolo, Bordeaux, or Burgundy? Need a little grower Champagne or California Cult Cabernets? Don’t overlook white wines – consider white Burgundys (like rich Meursault or flinty Chablis), a luscious but streamlined Sonoma Chardonnay, or crisp Riesling.
