DJ Kearney is a well-respected global wine expert, writer, seasoned judge, and educator. Throughout 25 years of non-stop travel and teaching she has trained thousands of wine professionals around North America. DJ’s wine credentials include the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma and the ISG Sommelier Diploma; she’s spent four years in the Master of Wine program, been the drink editor for Vancouver Magazine, Wine Director for the e-commerce platform NewDistrict.ca, been the Technical Director for the Best Sommelier of BC and Canada competitions for many years, inaugurated the Judgement of BC with Steven Spurrier and launched two successful wine clubs. She’s classically trained in the kitchen, has finished many marathons and earned a black belt along the way!
