FOCUS ON FITNESS: Stay Home Edition

As many of us find our routines disrupted by the novel coronavirus and faced with new challenges and different pressures, it’s never been more important to maintain a fitness program. If you’re new to fitness, there’s no better time to start than in the comfort of your own home. Through MilFit Personal Training, TCC is offering a weekly schedule of all-levels fitness classes of varying intensity on Zoom. Join fellow members and enjoy the camaraderie – we’re all in this together!

F.I.T. with Rachel
Mondays, 5–6 p.m.
Enjoy this 60-minute high energy full-body intensity training (F.I.T.) class in the comfort of your own home. This functional circuit training class utilizes your own body weight to increase muscular strength, improve cardiovascular endurance and burn calories. This F.I.T. class is guaranteed to get you sweating and having a great time!

Power Flow with Rachel
Tuesdays, 5–6 p.m.
This 60-minute class is a vigorous, more dynamic and athletic approach to yoga focusing on correct posture, alignment, muscle tone, strength, flexibility, regulation of breath, and the cultivation of a peaceful mind. Feel more mindful, connected, inspired and happy after class.

F.I.T. with Mil
Wednesdays, 5–6 p.m.

Sculpt & Stretch with Mil
Thursdays, 5–6 p.m.
This low intensity 60-minute class utilizes non-impact body weight movements. The controlled exercises are designed to lengthen and strengthen your body by focusing on posture, alignment, flexibility, and mobility. This class is perfect for you if you are a nursing an injury, tight from your sport, or just sore from being active.

Dynamic Core Conditioning with Mil
Fridays, 12 noon – 1 p.m.
This all-levels 60-minute class is designed to strengthen your entire body with an emphasis on your core. A strong core is necessary for good posture, low back health, and injury prevention. The first half of the class will focus on full-body cardio sculpting moves followed by a variety of exercises that will focus on improving core strength and stability. Stand straighter, walk taller, and move better with this class.



TCC Squash Coach Barry Gifford is hosting Squash Talk on Mondays and Thursdays, 5–6:30 p.m. on Zoom! Keep your game on track and learn from match analyses, ask questions, circuit train, and socialize with fellow players. BYOB!



Studios across the city are also offering complimentary, by-donation, or paid classes virtually through IG Live, YouTube, and Zoom.
