Here we are, at October already. Our fiscal year has officially ended, and a new one begins. Those last lingering patio days are slipping away, but fear not – there is much indoor fun to anticipate in the coming weeks.
Thanks to all of you who brought guests and joined us for this year’s golf tournament, in support of the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation. It was a great day of fun at Point Grey Golf & Country Club, and I’m delighted to report that the tournament raised $38,000 that the hospital will use to help purchase life-saving equipment.
On the business front, the last quarter of this fiscal year has been a success, meeting or exceeding almost all of our targets. Thanks to you – our active members – as well as all levels of our staff, for creating an experience and environment that allows us to continue growing our membership. As you know, membership is at the heart of everything we do at TCC, and I am honoured to welcome the more than 200 new members that have joined the Club this year. I encourage you to stay involved and find out more about our financial reports and future goals, by attending the Terminal City Club Annual General Meeting coming up on December 11.
While we give our auditors time to wrap up the books, I’m looking forward to a brand new event here at the Club. Make sure to join us on October 11 from 5 – 8 p.m. for The Portrait Social. This is the ultimate in business and social multi-tasking; we all need a beautiful, current portrait (think: headshots, online profiles picture, speaking engagements, etc…), so why not dress for the occasion and stay for a party afterwards? Beautiful black & white portraits by The Collective You, one of the city’s most talented portrait photographers, followed by wine, canapés, and DJ – ticking off your to-do list was never so much fun!
Our next BIG event has built itself a reputation in the past couple of years. Yes, Bond is Back, and this year, your favourite love-to-hate Bond villains will be fighting for their share of the spotlight. Bond takes over the entire Club on the evening of Saturday, November 4. Round up some trusted allies and book your tickets now, as this dress-to-impress event is always a sell-out.
Last but never least, as holiday season planning begins, please be sure to remember the opportunities that your Club membership represents. You have access to some of the most exceptional spaces and incredible planning and catering teams in the city. Whether you are hosting an intimate group of four or a company-wide event for 400, we welcome the opportunity to help you deliver an amazing experience.

Dress Code: Smart Casual
Unless otherwise specified, all areas of the Club, including the Grill Room, 1892, Cuvée Wine Bar, patios and private function rooms have a dress code of smart casual. Smart casual attire includes collared or turtle neck shirts, golf or knee length shorts, and dress pants. Similar attire is required for ladies. Denim is acceptable provided a collared shirt is worn and denim is of a solid colour with no fading, tears or patches.
All footwear is to be clean and smart. Casual thong footwear is not permitted outside of the fitness centre.
