COVID-19 Update #1

March 13, 2020

As discussions continue regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Terminal City Club continues to review our business practices; with predominant thought to the safety and health of our staff, members, contractors, and guests who visit our club.

We will continue with increased cleaning of all high touch areas and are taking several additional precautions back of house, on the floor, and in our catering, events, and restaurants. Staffing levels have been increased for our Stewarding and Housekeeping teams, in order to ensure that we continue to be able to minimize the spread of germs.

British Columbia is recommending against all non-essential travel outside of Canada, including to the United States of America.

Following these recommendations, anyone who has travelled outside of Canada is being asked to stay away from Terminal City Club for 14 days upon their return. It is our expectation and for the safety of the staff, members, contractors and guests all visitors to the club will follow this direction effective immediately.

To learn about self-isolation, visit the self-isolation and testing page.

Events/ gatherings
The province of British Columbia has also requested that all events larger than 250 people are asked to postpone their gathering. This includes indoor and outdoor conferences meetings, or similar events. This threshold has been selected as it is easier to maintain important social distancing to prevent transmission of COVID-19.

Visit Government of Canada for more questions and for the latest travel alerts.

Please assist us in our efforts by observing these recommendations. In particular, please stay home if you feel unwell, or are experiencing any respiratory symptoms, contact your primary care provider or call 8-1-1.
