Tell us a little about yourself and your work
My style is fashion-forward, glamorous but natural photography. I can make any bride to shine brighter than ever before with simple directions. At the same time I will be very conscious to make the pictures to look natural and to cover the full story of the wedding day. What do you love about weddings?
When a bride says she is not photogenic at all but after 10 minutes with me she starts loving her pictures and appreciates what I do.
It was an afternoon wedding at the end of November. After the ceremony we planned to do some creative photos at SFU before it got dark, but the bride was hungry and ordered sandwiches at Tim Hortons for the bridal party. The limo took them to the wrong Tim Hortons to pick up the order and it took them about 15 min to realize it. I knew we would loose daylight very soon, so while the bridal party argued inside, I took the couple outside for some quick pictures. It was getting dark pretty fast. Then we went to the correct Tim Hortons by a Safeway grocery store. Again, I had about 15 min at Safeway for pictures before it was going to be pitch black. Naturally, when we finally got to SFU for pictures (after all that driving around), it was so dark that I couldn’t see people’s faces. Long story short, the photos that we made during our stops for sandwiches at Tim Hortons and Safeway didn’t look like they were taken at a sandwich joint or grocery store, and they ended up to be the most favourite shots for the couple.
We will be bringing unique hand-made heirloom quality albums.
What wedding planning tip would you give to an engaged couple?
Please, plan your time for taking pictures.
I am 6’8’’ tall. Also, many people ask if I play basketball – I don’t. I play volleyball.
