Tell us a little about yourself and your work
We are Holly & Roger, two very different artists, each with a unique point of view, who have come together in business (and in life) through our shared passion for wedding photography to create Union Photographers. Though we’ve each found expression for our passion in a distinctive style, it is when our photos are experienced together that the magic truly happens. In photography – as in life – we are stronger together. Just like our clients.
What do you love about weddings?
Weddings are an amazing day not only in a couple’s life together but also for their family and friends. We love that with the magic of photography we can capture it all for our clients and their loved ones. Do you have a favourite memory from working at Terminal City Club?
It is hard to choose just one! A moment that sticks out is of a wrestling inspired grand entrance of the wedding party into the ballroom. All the guests lined up and high fived the wedding party as they were announced with hilarious wrestling names into the room. It was an explosion of joy and a great way to start the evening.
Can you give us any hints of what you will be bringing to Hush?
We’ll be sharing some of our favourite moments we’ve captured for our clients that we hope will make everyone laugh and maybe even bring a tear to your eye. What wedding planning tip would you give to an engaged couple?
Allow some time after your wedding ceremony to mingle informally with your guests. Everyone is so excited and wants to congratulate you and it allows for some great moments for your photographers to capture. Lastly, just for fun, what is something that not many people know about you?
When we were on our honeymoon in Fiji we ended up in their national newspaper. Their budget came out the day we left and while we were lounging by the pool waiting for our flight a photographer came by and asked if he could take our picture. Roger only said yes because he thought we would get a free beer out of it, which we didn’t! We had a few different people that we had met in Fiji email us to tell us we’d been in the paper. One couple even mailed us a copy of the article. The funniest part is that the article was about new taxes for yacht owners who sail to Fiji, which is so not us!

Dress Code: Smart Casual
Unless otherwise specified, all areas of the Club, including the Grill Room, 1892, Cuvée Wine Bar, patios and private function rooms have a dress code of smart casual. Smart casual attire includes collared or turtle neck shirts, golf or knee length shorts, and dress pants. Similar attire is required for ladies. Denim is acceptable provided a collared shirt is worn and denim is of a solid colour with no fading, tears or patches.
All footwear is to be clean and smart. Casual thong footwear is not permitted outside of the fitness centre.
